I have a supersonic combos for over a year and I like it. Although this week the reverb is broken. Should not be a big problem.

The clean is not as clean as a twin reverb but it is fine with me. The drive channel is perfect for blues and mild rock but not heavy metal.

Maybe you should look for a DR.Z amp. More expensive but if you play different guitars in it, you will hear the distinct character of each. It is not the case with the supersonic.

If you like the sound of your gear in the amp, that is all that you need.

The clean channel is not as clean as the twin reverb for example, but it is perfect for me.

I think that the burn channel is good for rock and blues. But it depends what kind of music you play. If you want to play hard rock or heavy metal you will need a pedal.

I think the supersonic is a good amp and it is not too expensive.

You can pick up the 60W combos for $650-750 used. I haven't played much with the 22W, but if you can a passable blackface DR sound, would be a versatile 22W amp. I really wonder if that's possible with EL84 tubes, but those tubes seem to be replacing the 6V6 in that 25W range.

The 60W clean (vibrolux/bassman voicing) doesn't really sound at all like the Silverface amps I've owned -- no gonzo dynamics & not as bright or biting even on the vibrolux voice -- more like the tweed amps, i.e. 5E3. The burn channel is interesting - I can't get a good hi-gain sound I really like, but you can get some awesome crunch sounds - G1/G2=2-4, treble=6, mid=2, bass=3-6 (bass depends on guitar). If you're an OD pedal head, you're probably not going to work at using the burn channel to get a good sound & all the complexity of the amp is in the dual gain & reverb stages = mucho triode tubes. Get yourself a good single channel amp which you like the sound cranked & buy an attenuator.

The reverb is noisy, but I've never had a Fender without noisy tube-driven reverb. I just thought it was the nature of the beast until I owned a Mesa.

If I had it to do over again, I would probably buy a Blackface DR reissue instead, simply because I ended up buying a 50W amp which works better for me. Or maybe the pater familias of SS, the Prosonic, due to its cult like status. I'm pretty much using the SS 60W clean always in bassman mode (vibrolux would be cool for funk or RB) and drive on the burn channel. Oh, it is a relatively light amp -- it weighs less than any 50W I know of.
