My preference was to add a bias adjust (yes, my warranty is void).

Thanks shimmilou, I just ordered the -S 8-10s off MF, and I plan on doing mods in the future when my warranty is almost over.

Good deal! I am sure that you will love the S type, I have. You might even forget about the bias for awhile. I remember that the stock BJr sounds great, but adding the adjustable bias, opens up a whole new world of sounds, much more versatile. Please keep us posted with your results and thoughts. :)

P.S.
Just pull the tube retainer down enough to clear the end of the tube and swivel out of the way with one hand, while changing each tube with the other hand, no need to remove the retainer as it can be a pain to get the little springs back in the holes if removed. Keep a good grip, don't let the retainer slip and smack the tubes.

I just installed my new tubes, and so far so great! (Of course I'm gonna watch them for the next month or so though, just to be sure). I know that they are brand new, but I swear there is a definate change in headroom and clarity. :D I am very happy with them.

P.S. Thanks for the installation tips, it helped a lot1 :D

If you're happy then "mission accomplished". Your ears are all that really matters.

Rawk on!
