I have 2 different blues juniors which I may want to use at the same time , once in a great while. Most of the time one will be adequate

I see a lot of A/B boxes which would allow me to do this, but there is a lot of discussion about ground hum. What is done to avoid that- is that the hum you get when you have a guitar in a Y situation to 2 amps and back off about half on the volume pots? There is more hum then than with the pots wide open.

I am not really interested in switching between the amps

When I hook up my Blues Deluxe and Blues Jr. in stereo, I use an EbTech two channel hum eliminator. I only use one channel of it and it works great. In my studio I was using a three to two prong adapter on the power cord before I got the Ebtech. I would not recommend that, it can make body parts and hair catch on fire when you complete the circut....

Are you a pedal user? If you are I would use a chorus pedal with 2 ouputs which are specifically made to use a multiple amp rig. It's cheaper than an a/b switcher. I think there might be a tonebone pedal for this.......

There is no hum induced by this pedal. I have one. It works.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I would go with the tonebone. Lots of pro touring guitarists use radial pedals (Mark Tremonti, Buddy Guy, Eric Johnson, and Kerry King to name a few...), and I've heard great things about tonebones in general (a guitarist I know uses a different one to run two 100 watt heads into one 4x12 cab, it's sweet)

Here's another option to look at from Radial, the "Big Shot" I think you can pick one up for around $80-$100. I don't own one but I have seen it recommended by several respected forum members.

That's an valid option I would go for too, and it's cheaper than the tonebone I'm talkin about.... Just depends on your price range really.

When I run my two Tweed 5e3's together (they don't have reverb) I use a TC Electronics Reverb pedal. It works well with no noise, don't mess with the tone and allows just a touch of reverb if desired, though often I don't add any verb and just use it as a splitter.
