Check the bias, when replacing the power tubes.

Good luck with the new set.

Well I finally got the new JJ tubes. But the amp still hums really bad with no volume. It has never hummed before it has always been a very quiet amp. I play soft notes its fine but give it the gas and she fades and crackles a little. Any advice would be great.

Try pulling all tubes and apply contact cleaner to the pins and socket and reseat the tubes. If the amp is old, the sockets may need to be re-tightened.

First time in this post you write about hum. No hum with your previous tubes ?

Hum with no volume is a filter ( s ) capacitor deffective or not connected ( bad solder ) or unbalanced power tubes.

when i first had the problem the speaker would hum with no volume. I put in new tubes and it does the same thing . It is no different. I think it needs to go to the shop.
