Did the Fender GE-412 guitar cabs have Celestion Vintage 30s? Or what speakers?

The cab is identical in contruction details and dimensions to the enclosure intended for the now-OOP Prosonic and CS Tonemaster models. It was a basic non-ported bass-reflex design, 29.5" x 29.5" x 11.5" and covered in black Tolex. The GE-designated cabs offered two different grill treatments -- an expanded-steel mesh (for use with the Rockpro hybrid amps) and traditional blackface cloth when ordered with a Prosonic or Stage 100 head (if Prosonic, the logo was the old "flat" style with a black-painted tail). A later similar enclosure was known as the DT-412.

Here's one of the cabinets sitting under a Cyber-Deluxe amp. It actually goes with the Stage 100 head on the very top.

Here's a shot of the second one with the grill removed when I was cleaning the cabinet up.

I bought two of these cabinets back in the 90s. I use the second one with a Roc-Pro 1000 head. They are very nice, great sounding cabinets.

So, I just pick this cab up for a pretty fair price. I was having a hard time getting into the cab itself to check out and possible replace the speakers. I tried removing the corner pieces to remove the back but that didn't seem to work. Instead I hand to remove one of the recessed handles just to get a glimpse inside. Doesn't seem to want to, or should I say, designed to come off....Any suggestions, tips or help?

Cheers mates.

My nephew just scored one of these cabs for $50... i think that was a good deal. it had one speaker with a tear in the cone, but i had another similar speaker from another cab so i swapped them and in 5 min it was rocking! Good score!
