I am considering purchasing a blues jr, possibly 2 for gigging. Has anyone put these in 2-12 cabs? If so, what speakers? I'm convinced that low wattage amps are the key to getting great tone at club gigs, but I'm curious about a 2-12 configuration.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
G

I had a custom made Walnut 2x12 combo cabinet made for mine. I am using Scumback M and H speakers from Southbay Ampworks.

Nice! Do these amps handle southern rock/outlaw country kind of stuff? What mods, if any, have you done to the amp itself?

Yes, they do.

No mods to the amp at all. Just tubes.

Is there an advantage to having the speakers angled, or is that just to keep the cabinet from being too wide?

No advantage that I'm aware of.
