A lower-gain tube at V3 (say, a 12AY7 instead of the 12AT7) might cure the issue.

HK52, could also be a microphonic tube. Try another 12AT7, if you have one. I like putting mil spec 12AT7WA or -WC into the reverb driver position. They tend to be more rugged and less succeptible to noise. And are still relatively cheap.

Edit: Should prolly also check the 12AX7 reverb recovery tube, too (V4).

I too was going to suggest trying a replacement tube as it sounds as though the one in there has gone microphonic.

It could've been something as seemingly insignificant as a slight patina of corrosion on the pins of the original 12AT7 or its socket which was corrected when you removed then reinstalled the tube.

Glad to hear the amp is back up to speed.

Be sure your reverb tank is IN the black bag on the bottom of the amp. This bag help to have no feedback

+1

As does the cardboard sheet sandwiched between the tank and the bottom of the bag.

Rawk on!
