is there any problem running an amp on a long 40' construction grade extension cord? it's grounded.

You know, I've seen this done a LOT of times. I guess as long as you are using 14 or 16 gauge outdoor wiring, you are ok. Just seems a bit hazardous. And for goodness sakes don't plug in any other amps or construction tools into the same line. 8^)

There are no problem. Amp is a low current device even a full volume and at medium volume it is very low current.
Like BMW said 16 to 14 gauge will do thew job
