Loving my new C Rex although I only got to play it about an hour today. I was just sitting here thinking about what I was going to do with the original speaker...
1. Craig's List it...
2. Ebay it...
3. Keep as a spare...

then a thought hit me...
4. Maybe in the near future use it along with the C Rex to create a 2 x 12 Blues Junior....

Then I began building it in my head and I was wondering how I was going to use two 8 ohm speakers together...

Parallel wiring would yield 4 ohms
Series would yield 16 ohms (i think I am correct on this)

anyhow, is thinking about doing this a possibility?

Definitely a possibility. The BJ can handle a 4 ohm load, Fender issued the "Two Tone" amp which was a Custom Shop Blues Junior in a 1x12" + 1x10" custom cabinet format with the two 8 Ohm speakers in parallel (4 Ohm total).

Here's a pic and some info from another thread:

The only thing I can suggest you do with the original speaker ("Emminence made for Fender" I assume?) is roll it down a steep hill until you can't see it anymore.. You'll feel better in the long run

Played a green BJ special in my local toy shop. It had the Cannabis Rex speaker as standard, and it sounded gorgeous. I'd love to hear it when that speaker has been played in. I have a Celestion V30 in mine, and that's quite nice too.

Well they're not quite that bad.

I took a derelict Fender/Emi 12 and mounted it to a crude baffle board then nailed it to the wall over my bench so I have quick access to an 8-ohm speaker for testing purposes. I wired a pigtail to the speaker's terminals, with a ¼-inch jack on the other end for an easy connection. It doesn't sound great but it doesn't have to -- it just provides a down-and-dirty load for troubleshooting an amp's output stage.

Actually, if anybody can use an original Blues Junior speaker, I still have mine in perfect condition. If anyone near The Midlands in the UK wants to come and take it away for free they would be welcome..

LOL I'll check on route finder. I guess sending it would be prohibitively expensive..
