I have an original cyber twin that pops and crackles intermittently. This feature of the amp breaks my heart as I would like to use it live because I love certain tonal aspects it possesses. At first I thought the noise was due to dirty power, but as I moved it around ( from venue to venue) I noticed no difference. The only exception was when I took it to a local (licensed) repair man and he kept it for 3 days and couldn't make it do it. Master volume seems to have no effect on it and it comes through the line out jacks as well as the speakers. Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe try contact cleaner on the input and buss wire connections? Check grounding points for cold or broken solder. Or loose eyelets tied to ground.

If that fails, you may need new electrolytic filter caps in the main power supply. Is the amp more than 10 years old, with same OEM filter caps?

Thanks for the tip, I'll check out the filter caps. I've already done the visual-cold solder joint thing.
