Been eyeing this amp for awhile even with the more than normal inherent hiss for a Fender amp. Tried one locally and it wasn't that bad IMO, We'll see on the one I receive. Had to place an order for the surf green model so should have it by weeks end. Got 15% off to boot. MSRP is a little too much I must say though from outside looking in.

I have one. No hiss or noise problems at all.

UPS delivered the amp today which I'm sad to say was the highlight. Opened the box and I must say it looks much cooler in person than the photos. 8) Looked it over and turned it on after plugging in. Let the tubes warm up annnnnnnd....nada. No sound whatsoever. Fine, must be a tube issue I say. I'm no amp tech so if it isn't something basic I'm not about to work on it, especially being brand new. Looked like (2) preamp tubes were dark. Replaced those and still nothing. ugh! Bummer, boxed it back up and called the store where I bought it and they're sending a replacement. Hopefully I'll have more success with # 2!

Thanks. For now I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to over zealous UPS truck loaders. I've seen first hand how they toss packages. I lamentend the fact to my customer service rep and recommended corrective action on how they shipped in the manufacturers box from the several times I've ordered an item.
While they may be insured for the goods the customer service aspect is lacking. Double box the darn thing. While it may not solve all issues with the shippers it at least goes the extra mile. I'm sure it fell on deaf ears. Now I have to wait until the faulty one is received before a new one is shipped. Grrrr!

+1

Tragic, actually.

I have no qualms about dropping fifteen bills on a '67 Deluxe Reverb sight unseen but I'd be scared to death about buying a brand-new MLSB from my local GC.

Sounds exactly what I was looking for, I'm very content with it. A dual channel amp with some creamy distortion and sustain ranging from texas blues to modern rocking lead tones for the music I play. The clean channel was a given and sounds like you expect from Fender. Kick in the fat switch for fullness and body boost. The available gain from the 2nd gain stage is probably a tad bit more than the orange channel on my Marshall JVM to my ears.
