I have the above mentioned amp and have purchased a Digitech Vocatist live which I hoped to use with it on my vocal channel. Does anyone know how to defeat the Phantom power delivered to this input?

Not exactly sure what you mean. My D-VL has phantom power, but it's just a little in/out on/off button on the unit. I use a Shure mic with mine and just make sure the phantom power is off and have no problems.

Thanks CRGuitarman but the problem is that the vocal channel on the amp has Phantom power which I want to defeat. I have no problem with the D VL4 and it's power as I use a Condensor mic. I have been advised by Digitech not to feed the output of my VL into a powered jack !

Hi sdisturber,

You could modify the amp without much trouble. Clip one side of, or remove, the resistor that feeds the 15 volt phantom power to the mic jack on the amp. If the schematic that I have is correct, this would be R87, a 100 ohm resistor. Of course this means that you have no phantom power for a condenser mic plugged directly into the amp. Also, modifying the amp could void the warranty, although this mod could be easily reversed, if you want to undo it.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
