Hey Guys,

I am looking to get a Blues Deluxe, as I have recently borrowed one from a friend and was really blown away by it! I will be looking to mod it with some new tubes and speakers, to squeeze as much juicy cleans/head room out of it as possible.

Could some one tell me what the difference is between the BDRI and the original BD?
And which one would you recommend buying?

Cheers,
Max

Basically a bias adjustment and minor modifications from lessons learned

So I won't be able to adjust the bias on the original model?

Thanks

Hi maxmiechowski,

The original BD has no bias adjustment pot. And the RI has an external speaker jack, in addition to the main jack, that the original doesn't have. The originals were US made, the RI is Mex made.

Also jacks are a better quality, less prone to failure on the new one. It's also possible the pcb is uprated a bit.

Get the Reissue. It's much more flexible and easier to mod since it already has the adjustable bias pot.
