1998 Princeton Chorus. Love the amp but the "clean" channel has very, very low volume output. Has always been this way so have had to always mic my amp. Is this normal? Anybody else have this problem? Distortion channel output is great. Thanks. Amp is solid state.

There are several core components for this series of amp which are no longer available (including the effects module). Likely yours has a relatively simple issue but I would urge you to have it serviced ASAP so you don't fall victim to the all-too-common phenomenon of "logistic insupportability" as replacement parts continue to disappear. I have a friend with one of these amps -- it's been "tango uniform" in his closet for five or six years now due to unavailibility of the chorus chips.

try kijiji or ebay, search for a princeton chorus. I did and found a few. cost probably on par with a repair job.
