Hi I have a Princeton 65 + an Automatic (25W with one 12" speaker). The Automatic has broken down, and repair would probably be more expensive than the cost of the amp. So, I wonder could I paralell connect the 8ohm speaker in the Automatic with the excact same speaker in the Princeton 65  ? In other words, can Princeton 65 operate with 4 ohm load? :?:

Hi FredHMoe,

It can operate with a 4 ohm load, but will reach full power at much less than full volume. So, if you limit the amp to less than its full output power, it will work. Since you really don't know what settings on the amp will result in full power with a 4 ohm load, I would not recommend this with a solid state amp, it will probably cause the amp to overheat. Tube amp OK, ss no.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
