Has anyone tried WGS speakers in their Fender combos or cabs? Their prices are good and they have quite a selection. The ET65 was recommended by the WGS guys "to improve the OD without messing up the clean sound". I'll need a pair to put into a 2x12 cab to go with a "Baby Twin" head that Teleman Guitars in Vestal NY is building for me.

For the curious, the "Baby Twin" is a 50 watt (2 -6L6) vibrato/reverb channel, based on a 65 Blackface Twin Reverb schematic. I also asked for a simple efx loop.

Thanks!

Matt

Apparently very good. My amp repair guy recently replaced several 12's in his amps with the G12C - he liked them better than the Webers, Scumback, and found them as good as original Jensens (not the new made in Italy junk that only uses the Jensen name) or CTS speakers.

Only thing he found better was the 2x more expensive Kendrick Black frames 12".

Hope that helps.

Nedo, they might be a good fit for your Showman once you get it up and running (either a pair or a quartet).

You're a mind reader Arjay...

It's what he voiced my amp for and will be picking up a Mojotone 2x12 cab for them...

I may also swap out the Weber Californias for them or do 1 at a time to get a blend.
