Thinking of running the Princeton w/ distortion and the Rumble clean. Any suggestions for the tone settings on each amp? I play a Telly MIM in blues rock style. Thanks in advance.

Hi mark727,

Which Princeton, there are several models? Do you have the manuals for each amp?

It's a Princeton 65. I have the manual for that. I bought it new in 1999. I just bought the Rumble 60 used from Guitar Center. My idea was to put together a guitar/bass amp set up of comparable wattage. I'm using a Y cable from my guitar into both amps.

Cool. Here is the manual for the Rumble 60.

http://support.fender.com/manuals/bass_amplifiers/Rumble_60_manual.pdf

The manuals describe what the control knobs do, you will simply have to turn the knobs and experiment until you get the sound that you want. I think that it would be easier to dial-in each amp separately for the sound that you want, and then put them together and fine tune each. For the Princeton, if you are using the drive channel, you can skip the normal channel knobs, that leaves only six knobs to mess with, and the Rumble only has five knobs, the labels on each amp are obvious, bass, treble, gain, reverb, etc.
