Hi All,

Just looking for your advice here. I've recently got a Fender Stage 112 SE amp from a friend for a hundred quid. He's a good mate and I don't really know if the price was good or not - it was more of a present as he doesn't use it these days.

Anyway, as good as the amp sounds, it's too loud. I've taken loads of suggestions for turning it down, or pedals to help but it is still just too loud. I don't play gigs or stuff, I just annoy the neighbours around my flat and occasionally plug into my Mac. So 100w is completely unnecessary.

So if I was to take it into my local guitar shop, what do you think I would / should get for it? What would be a good exchange?

I've got a MIM Strat, Rat Distortion, Vox Wah & EH Memory Boy to play with and mostly play blues / rock. I've got a little Roland MicroCube (which is great for the cash) but looking for something a bit more, maybe a small tube amp? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Pete

+1 or "Princeton" as well...to quote Retroverbial, these are great "Porch Weasels" and I have one of each for practicing at lower volumes.
