I doubt if Fender is the least bit concerned over the half-a-dozen Egnaters that are talked about on this forum. And they are probably even less concerned with a couple of blowhards putting down their amps. I would think that thousands and thousands of happy customers would make more of an impression than a few who aren't happy.

And, since it is completely irrelevant for this thread, I'll throw in the fact that I really enjoy my HRDlx and BJr. Anyone who thinks that my amps are lame can go suck an Eg. 8)

Lol,
I actually like the hr dlx and bjrs, however I ran through
Those amps and the amp that really stood out was the amp
I went with.
But after days of pondering, and deliberating as if I were
One of the 12 jurors convincing myself I needed a DRRI
Blues jr, hr dlx . They all were great, but I went a different
Direction.

That is seriously very cool bluesstrattone.

Amazing how you made your choice, and still didn't feel the need to bash the amps that you didn't choose. Kudos to you! (serious, not being sarcastic)

It's great to have choices, in order to get exactly the sound that you want. I would put my HRDlx up against any Egnater model up to and including the Tweaker 40 (and to be clear, 40 watt Egnater and less).

I was a little excited when I first saw the Tweaker 40, as I want a 40 to 50 watt (or more if necessary) head with 6L6 output tubes. But, like some of the other posters, I am put off by the rudeness/arrogance of some Egnater proponents. However, I can't find a whole lot about the Egnater amp itself to complain about. Congrats on your purchase.

When it comes down to it, I think that either a Bassman head or Showman head is exactly the amp that will fit my needs perfectly (leaning towards the Showman). 8)

Shim,
I am a huge fender fan, I still would like to get my hands
On a older DRRI, perhaps a silverface. But on my own terms
not any time soon, I'll take my time and look for one.
I almost bought the humboldt fsr fender blues jr.
If you ask me that is a great bang for the buck.

My honest reason why I bought the egnater, for this sole
Reason. Every combo I've ever owned, with the exception
Of bassman ri, had tube rattle, and I really wanted a head
Cabinet amp.
But, I am really happy with this amp.
Thanks..

After having researched Egnator's website and product line I'm seriously wanting to check out their Rebel 30 -- it may fill an important niche in my arsenal of amps.

Blowhards? Shim give it a break. You create more problems with your personal insults. You seem to be the only one who makes such a big deal over this.

Funny, I mention blowhards, no one in particular named, and you think it is about you. Since I didn't mention your name, it can't possibly be personal, get over yourself. 8)

Me neither. Because the best thing about online forums is frequently the "Ignore" feature. When I used to hang out here, that function didn't work yet. But I found out over a week ago that now... it does.

+1...Funny thing is, my wife and I were talking about amps this morning and she was wondering why it is that I hate (new) Fender amps when I love their guitars so much. I responded with...When the quality control they do for amps gets to the level it is for guitars I might consider them. Until then, Fender amps may as well not exist IMO. Even if all I'm doing is jamming in the bedroom, reliable equipment is of the utmost importance to me.

+1!

I recall the era within my lifetime whereupon every Fender amp was built to the same rigid standard of reliability and dependability, from the ubiquitous Champ to the mighty Dual Showman.

The good ol' days huh? I wonder what happened. Sadly I wasn't even a twinkle in my daddy's eye at that point.
