i did a whole a/b with my friends tweaker and my tweaker 40.
tone is slightly different.
the 15 breaks up quicker, has an excellent tone.
the 40 has a higher clean headroom, but another tweakable channel.
i connected another 12 cab, tone change was marginal, louder yes, alittle more bottom end. however the deep switch adds bottom end to single coils.

ill record a little demo of mine soon, that way ill demonstrate the range on this thing with
2 channels.
ill use my hr62 strat into this amp and no pedals

Arrrrrg......my favorite music store doesn't stock Egnator.

I may have to pinch off my nostrils and go to "the big box store" (you know who).

Apparently not guilty enough to cease producing and marketing endless variations of the same miserable little shitbox.

LMAO!!!

Well, I'm gonna continue to be a loyal Fender customer... Egnater amps didn't really do it for me, guess my ears are so used to hearing that classic Fender tone that nothing else will do.

Cedar,
I'm a loyal fender customer, this thread is after 2 faulty brand
New DRRI fsr amps.
Even then, I still love fender.
Is the DRRI a better amp?
I'm not comparing at all, I loved the DRRI.
Sorry if I offend anyone by posting this here.

I think Fender came close to being as innovative as Egnater has been with the Supersonic, an amp I like a lot.... But I read too may reports of incurable noise problems with the 22's to buy one. Egnater comes by it's buzz honestly; the stuff is just really nicely done. This is the difference between a great big corporation run by MBAs and a one-man, hands-on propellerhead genius taking his boutique concepts to the mass market.

I may take some guff for this, but in that specific regard Egnater Custom Amplification now has more in common with Leo's early company than Fender does.

No "guff" from me, sir.

I think your comparison is spot on!

You didn't offend anyone, nothing wrong with discussing other amps... I'm just worried FMIC might notice that we're talking a lot about Egnater and they're losing business to them :) but hey, that's their own fault IMO! Better do something about QC soon...

Well, I was in the GC this afternoon and saw that the Egnator 20 heads are on Clearance!
Must be a model change coming....

Maybe Fender should try hiring  Bruce Egnater.

I haven't heard about a Rebel 20 model change. It's still a pretty huge selling amp and seriously rock solid. An Award winner, and It's relatively new too. I checked Rig-Talk and Egnater's site and no mention of it. Could be the Tweaker is doing so well that they're overstocked on Rebel 20 heads. If it's cheap enough, maybe I'll but another head and build an A/B box. Use one for clean one for dirty stuff.

It's 50 dollars off regular price... 10%. That doesn't sound like a discontinued blowout, even if it is called a Clearance price. The dev focus at Egnater has been in the larger Tweakers.

The fanboys are the only ones who get offended and start whining. Fender would never lose business. Fender could build an amp without a speaker and people would buy it and tell you it has the "Classic Fender Sound" to boot. I've used Fender amps for over 40 years. if they want to get me back, build a better shitbox. I can't afford to lose my reputation as a musician on Fender's current reputation and poor build batting average. I mean I even had to send back a stupid GDec for a faulty data wheel. On the other hand, I have a 74 SF Champ that's never seen the inside of a repair shop and that is nothing more than a practice amp.

It was just the Rebel 20 heads on clearance.
The 1x12 speaker cab was still regular price. All other models except Rebel 30, regular price. Rebel 30 marked down but not clearance.
