If you like tone tweaking, it's heaven. Very cool options. It starts to give me the itch. I've been looking at the open back cab and was thinking about trying one open back and one closed back cab to see what it would sound like together.

It is very complicated , took me a while but the amp having
Alot of head room gives more options .
I found a very nice clean, I'm working on channel 2

I've found my Tweaker 15 has alot of useable tones in brit, ac and USA. Wait until the tubes need changed, put in some high quality ones, and it'll get even better.

It took me a long time to learn the Rebel 20. So many great tones can be had between the tube mix and power dials. Then the speakers break in and it's like holy smoke it's even better than I thought it was. Great amps. No doubt. Have a blast!

Oh man, you guys are killing me! I've been pondering over this Tweaker 15 down in the only music shop of this one horse town that I live in, and now you guys have convinced me to once again sneak something in the house. Now I have to figure out who to rob to pay for this, Peter or Paul?

   :!: You know what, I went down to the music store yesterday and I really didn't realize how many Egnater's they had on display. When I started messing around with the Rebel 30 things began to get really interesting. I have been banging my head around for months trying to figure out my next amp, and now I know. I have got to get a Reble 30. As soon as I get it, I will be back with the review and pics.

Oh man, we're not trying to get anyone in trouble. It's hard not to rant about them, these amp are just great for the money. Two years and I'm still really happy with mine. Zero problems and it gets seriously gigged and played.

Just had a riot of a time with my Rebel 20.... PRS Singlecut into Zendrive into the Rebel and the EGnater 1x12 cab, and while I was setting up a delay I accidentally triggered an additional mild overdrive on the M13 plugged into the effects loop... Holy Cow! Just burned the house down for about 15 minutes, then wanted to see how it would do with single coils, so i plugged my Strat into the same set-up..... stringy, chewy, snappy awesomeness.

End up with that, some front end compression and finally a swooshy chorus, and went all David Gilmour for a while before coming to my senses. This amp never fails to please.

Egnater rocks. ADn you knwo I had a conversationw iht a guy on line, maybe it was here, who said he wouldn't try one because he didn't like the name??!? Jeez Louise.

His loss, Jim.

I may look into one of these myself.

I wouldn't care if the amp was called "Putzsicle" if it sounded great to me, I wouldn't give a ratsass. These things are just plain great sounding, versatile fun. Arjay, it woild be interesting to get your opinion on Egnater. You know the Classic Fender sound way better than most on the forum. It would be cool to see how it sounds to you. For me, the raw tonal possibilities of these amps are astounding.

Arjay, you should! Give it some time to sink in... A Rebel or a Tweaker might take a bit more time to get into then the direct gratification of, say, a Princeton... But that's because it has a greater range.

And I'd be interested in your comparison to a classic Fender tone, as well. I know it's a different circuit, so it's not going to be dead nuts... But a Rebel 20 set to max wattage and turned all the way to the 6V6 side through an open back cab sounds very much to me like a Deluxe Reverb (or plenty close for recording, anyway), especially with my Strat.

Now this buckers with the closed back Celestion cab and the Zendrive... Well, that's just a huge rocking kick! Even GravityLisa loves the sound... While I was grinding it this evening, I stopped for a minute and she yelled down the stairs: "More cowbell!"
