Try a bit less fibre in your diet, or have a discrete word with your pharmacist. You don't have to go on suffering like this..

Hey, I love Spam! On a sandwich anyways. Lightly fried in butter, with a melted slice of Kraft American on top. Some lettuce, a little mayo......oh yeah!

Dude to really make yourself pull the trigger, you gotta put your rig through it. Once I got the pedals tweaked to the amp, I could then just dial the amp in the way I want. And my pedals sound awesome through the dirt and clean channels. Dude, the one definite thing we have in life is death, so why not enjoy life and GET THE AMP!

I've been singing the praises of Egnater since I bought it. The tonal variations never seem to end. Mine has been rock solid reliable too. 8)

And a Moon Pie for dessert!

That meal handily covers all three of the major food groups......salt, sugar, and preservatives.

OK, I bought the Tweaker 15 (had it for two hours), traded up to the Tweaker 40, and it is a really nice amp. I am still "tweaking" the amp a little, but I think that I have it dialed in pretty much the way that I like it. Great clean, great distortion, great controls for tone sculpting. The 40 is definitely competition for my HRDlx, but different amps with different voicing, both have their merits, and I like them both. Both amps have very similar construction, chassis mount output tube sockets soldered to circuit board, with preamp tube sockets circuit board mounted.

I have one channel clean, one channel distorted (foot switch selectable), and the foot-switchable effects loop is a great feature, and can be used with either channel, almost like a third channel. The loop works great with my POD, but the amp sounds great without effects (which I prefer anyway).

Just as I was getting my tones dialed in, a preamp tube (V1), started popping a few times when I switched the standby switch to play. A call to Egnater, and they are sending me another preamp tube. I hope that it is the same Tung Sol tube, as I swapped in an EH and really missed the sound of the Tung Sol, but the EH is close enough until the new tube comes. The amp has three Tung Sol preamp tubes, and two Ruby 6L6GCM-STR output tubes. Nice sounding set of tubes, clean and shimmery, or crunchy distortion, it's all good.

So far, I am really enjoying the 40, great sounds and very versatile. Funny thing, so far I don't feel the need to be obnoxious about it. Maybe that comes with time.

Ah, so you've chosen the red pill. "You'll stay in Egnaterland, and the Tweaker 40 will show how deep the rabbit hole goes..." (That was my Morpheus impersonation if he were a gear head.)

My pre-amp tube has just broken in, and wow, what a difference. This amp just keeps gitting better and better. I'm finding that the correlation between the master volume and the gain control is essential to your tweaking, and not just there to git you the saturation, or overdrive.

I bet it's the speakers breaking in more than the preamp tubes. It makes no difference when it just gets better and better. Sounds like you have the Egnater tone addiction even worse than me.
