What would you all think of a two of these in a 63 Vibroverb reissue?

It's a meatier version of the 1028. I was concerned the 1028 or a Fender Blue Alnico might be a bit brittle.

I play a blues, jazz and not so heavy rock.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

For "blues, jazz, and not so heavy rock" I'd recommend a pair of vintage Jensen C10Q's. If necessary, have them re-coned to spec. There are plenty available on Ebay for reasonable $$$.

JMO, YMMV, KDTTAH, etc

Arjay:

You mean a real vintage one. What about a recommendation for a new issue speaker.

Didn't really want to spend $100 per speaker. That's what they are going for.

People are also starting to rave about Warehouse speakers; worth going to their site.

If you had more than $100 per, Kendrick Blackframe would be pretty amazing...
