Hello all,

I purchased a Fender Princeton Recording amp in April of this year. Love the sound, except for when I'm playing it with the Distortion circuit engaged, which makes the Amp fade in and out similar to the problem described on this blog:

http://www.thefenderblog.com/amplifiers ... rding-amp/

The blog suggests the Attenuator is the culprit, and that it needs to be replaced. Any additional thoughts on this? I'm curious why it happens, how to avoid it, and whether I just need to go get it fixed.

Thanks

I had a similar problem with another brand of amp and I figured out that the built in compressor was making it do that....
