I'll keep you guys posted, I'm gonna audition several other
Amps, egnater tweaker , rebel, renegade with DRRI at the store.
These are really well built.

The Egnator Rebel 20 is a nice amp. It was tough to decide between it and the DRRI I finally decided on. The DRRI just had a little more sparkle to it for my ears.

May I suggest that you look at Peavey's Classic line also. They are a different flavor than the creamy 6V6 tones of the DRRI. Cool thing about Egnater is the Rebel has a touch of both the DRRI & the Peavey Classic due to the combination of 6V6's & EL84's.

Anyway, the phrase "They don't make 'em like they used to" applies to many manufacturers of amps, but IMO Peavey's Classic line is an exception to that statement. They are as solid as amps built in the early days. Definitely worth a look if you're into the EL84 tone.

Peavey is mostly known today for producing well built amps that dish out OBSCENE amounts of high gain... For some reason, high gain is what they market themselves on, & they make those amps well.

However, there is still the Classic line which offers up versatility & lush usable tones for Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, etc.

IMO Peavey's Classic amps are the best amps (for my playing style) that Peavey makes.

I've also heard great things about Egnater's quality.

I also had two DRRI's with rattles and buzzes, both were cheap rectifier tubes !!!
I would be willing to say its at least a 90% chance thats your problem also.
Several others here have had the exact same problem, new rectifier and the rattle goes away.

Note to fender, Save a lot of frustration and expense on the part of your customers and change vendors on the 5AR4's your putting in the DRRI's

+1

If Fender used a better rectifier they wouldn't have so many returns! Once I learned it was the rectifier causing this annoying noise it was an easy fix...

Replace this POS tube

With this $16 JJ

and forget about the rattles and enjoy the sweet tones of this amp!

i had replaced all tubes , including a sovtek rectifier and a jj rectifier, rattle was still there. i hadnt mentioned it figuring i didnt want to annoying and repetitive.
you guys had helped me out alot. after a day or 2 of swapping tubes, i knew i had to return it, i really didnt want to put more money on new tubes right off the bat..
