Just got a blues Jr. There is a ringing/rattle noise whenever I play a Bb. Suggestions?

Vibrational issues keyed to a specific frequency could be anything from a microphonic tube to a loose screw within the cabinet -- it's likely not electrical in nature. You might try snugging up all fasteners within the enclosure (don't forget to check those holding the speaker to the baffle board) and swapping in some new tubes. If you feel comfortable opening the amp up, remove the chassis and look for anything loose within. The back panels on these amps sometimes cause problems if/when they come into physical contact with the chassis or the ribbon cables inside (re-rout the latter as necessary so they're not touching anything).

yeah, I know how to play guitar, that's it, adjustments scare me. Gotta get the tech to check it, he told me to just sit it on the floor cuz it only seems to rattle when in an amp stand, but the highs just don't sound as good when on the floor, and I have to turn it up to loud to get the good sound.

Not really sure what is the right amp for me. This one I can afford, and would just like the ringing to stop when it's in the stand.

Then your options are quite simple, really.

Live with the miserable buzz or take it back to the store and insist that they either fix it or replace the amp.

Yeah, I feel like I was brushed off, I am not good at being assertive, and feel like I am being a dousche, cuz basically they told me, don't use an amp stand, set it on the floor, but I don't want to have to crank it to get good sounding highs. Is there a way to shoot an e-mail to someone at fender, cuz on the support page it didn't have one.

Take it back and take a look at the Egnater Tweaker. I think you'll be really surprised at the quality and the tone. I got rid of my HRDlx for an Egnater Rebel 20 and never looked back. Great products.

The rebel 20 and tweak look nice, but both are a little more than I wanted to spend. Plus this shop only has fender, and I am looking for that pristine clean sound--with reverb.

Return the amp for a refund then find another store that offers a better selection of amps.

You won't get a pristine clean out of a Blues Jr anyway. They don't really have that much headroom. Any amp with Blues or Hot Rod in the name isn't designed to be real clean. I agree with Arjay. The Tweaker is about eighty bucks more and way more versatile. There are way better amps from many different manufacturers that offer so much more in reliability and sound.

+1!

......And you can easily add reverb via a stompbox.

Best of luck, HTH
