Just picked up a sweet, hardly used Blues DeVille 410. The serial number is B-344625. I can't find the date info at Fender support. And the only DeVille schematic they post is for the original DeVille, not the reissue. Significant changes include a bias pot. I'd like to get the info on test points and specs so I can run different tubes in it.

Great amp! I missed the Blues Deluxe I traded out not too long ago. I am thrilled to have this beauty in the music room!

Oh, yeah. I had a some fun lacquering the BDRI years ago and I'm thinking about doing that to the DeVille. The tweed looks even better with a shiny darker tint to it. Only thing is, I don't recall brands and colors of lacquer to use. Can anyone point me in the direction of a website for that? I seem to recall "honey - something or other" that I ended up using. hee hee! Getting older.....!

Any help is really appreciated,

Thanks!

Paul

"Snowy0457" is the forum member to talk to about lacquering a tweed cab -- he's built a couple of 5E3 clones and sprayed both of them with a "secret" blend that made the amps look like genuine relics of the '50s. He'll be along at some point (he lives "in a land down under" so it's likely 4 AM there right about now).

The Blues Deluxe/Deville Reissues came out in 2004/2005, I think.
