Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I didn't see one for pedals and effects. I'm looking for a good compressor/sustain effect/pedal and wanted to consult folks who are more experienced than I. Any suggestions?

I'be been very happy with my Keeley compressor. Sounds great for clean or crunch, and I play a tele, strat and through humbuckers. Min is set at 9:00 and 12:00 for Sustain and Level.

Sorry for taking a while to reply.... found a new DRRI for under 400 bucks new and am a broke boy. As my dad would say, "I'm so poor if steamboats were a nickel all I could do is run up and down the bank yelling 'Boy ain't that cheap!'"

I just "found" a new DRRI for 800 bucks, which I thought was not a bad deal!! Oh well. However, my Keeley compressor sounds great through it - very nice sound

It was an ebay no reserve auction. It was very close to ending at $386 bucks. Think the store was closing/eliminating inventory.

I used to say Keeley, I've had the 2 and 4 knob

But now I'm quite fond of the Wampler
Better high end content

O.K. here is my 2 cents worth.

The visual sounds route 66 has been my favorite since the day i got it, I also like the cmatmods comp, both great comps without clearing out the bank account.

The cmatmods makes less noise than the route 66 and is less than 150 shipped direct from him.
The route 66 has a few more bells and whistles, I like the one with the O/D included for certain sounds and so I use the route 66 99% of the time.

I ended up with a DRRI and a Visual Sound Route 66. That pedal has been my go to pedal as well as my Liquid Chorus. Those pedals and amp partner very well with my Strat, Tele, and LP Jr. I have become a huge Visual Sound fanatic!
