What do you mean by a "direct out"?

The Deville has a serial effects loop with preamp out and power amp in jacks. You can use the preamp out jack to send the signal to a computer, speaker emulator, or any other box requiring a preamp level signal.

May be when people talk to people it better when people talk to a computer. On top of that when you can help somebody, you get satisfied, isn't it ?

That's true Tis-san. :)

I used to get countless calls at inconvenient hours of the night directly due to the fact that customers didn't Read The Fancy Manual that came with their new equipment. So, my battle cry became RTFM! (Fancy?......yeah, that's it  )

I agree Shimmilou then: "better when people talk to people on problem after RTFM"

I'm a firm believer in RTFM. Heck, I even read the manual that comes with a new car!

I'd much rather deal with/answer questions from some who has RTFM and doesn't understand what it says (not all of them were written by English majors or even English speakers) than someone who is too lazy to read a three page manual. They're usually pretty easy to spot.

Agree.

Read The F#$%#ng Manual that came with your amp or gear first.

Amp/Gear didn't come with one? Google <your amp name> Manual and wonders of wonders, it will appear. Sometimes even in different languages! Download, read.

Then when you have questions, come hear and ask.

I have manuals for all my band gear (mixer, Powered speakers, DI's, bass player's POD and amp, keyboard players manual and patches) in Dropbox so I can read it at home, or in a pinch, on an iPhone at a gig.

The RTFM issue seems to be an age-based thing where the younger set wants to be spoon fed the answer vs. actually doing the work to get it.

Sadly true. The "game boy" generation.

Yep, if it isn't on a computer/tv screen, the young may not find what they need. In my experience, the "old electricians" are the hardest to convince because "...I've been doing it this way for umpteen years and don't need no stinkin' manual..." If you lead a youngster to it he will read, if no other alternative. But, the old stubborn farts, not so much. I'm glad that I'm not stubborn.....or old.
