Why mod it, is something wrong with it? If you're happy with it, I'd let it be.

I have no real intention of modding it; but ya know ya hear all this stuff about better this or that...new speaker or tubes..etc....curiosity more than anything...I love the amp as it is...it keeps me from having to carry my blues deville all the time..amp is so heavy..lol

Your amp in all likelihood has a better speaker in already. It's part of the whole LTD package.

+1

Give the OEM speaker an adequate break-in period before you render a final judgement as to its fitness for the amp. Once that moment arrives, only then should you consider any tube tweaks.

If it has a different style of silver grill cloth, then it's the "Emerald" edition. It's a sharp-looking little amp, with a Celestion speaker. I had one a couple years ago, and it was nice. I guess I'm just one of the only people who prefers Eminence speakers in my Fender amps. Beautiful amp, though, and no slouch in tone.

Some of Eminence's "house-brand" speakers are very good. However, their OEM stuff as used in contemporary production amps sound just as mediocre and generic as the Oxfords and Utahs used by FMI in the '60s and '70s.

That makes two of us, I love a Texas Heat or Cannabis Rex.
Arjay's right though, it depends on "which" Eminence.

Make that three, I have C-Rex's and Texas Heats. Two Texas Heats in a Frontman 212, one C-Rex in a Blues Jr. and 1x12 ext. and two more 16ohm Texas Heats in my ext. for my Blues Deluxe
