Does anyone know anything about my amp? I can't seem to find any information on-line about it, maybe I haven't looked hard enough. I'm pretty sure it's your standard 60 watt tweed style Deville, it's a great amp. It has a gold badge on it's top-end saying "Clapton Anniversary". Will post more pictures and info if there's a general interest.

Cheers, Vance.

Badge is illegible.

I'm betting you bought the amp used? If so, I am betting that someone stuck that badge on it as Clapton has no relation to the Blues Deville at all. His amp lately has been a Fender '57 Twin or a variant of that.

Why would someone stick the gold badge on it?

Cheers

To fool someone into thinking it was something special, obviously.

The reverb on this amp could be a bit better

Remove the treble bypass (C50) from across the Reverb control terminals. This will make the reverb richer sounding and more usable.

I did a similar mod to my Blues Deluxe Reissue and it made a noticable improvement.

Thanks Bill (if I may call you that)

I will definitely look into that.

As for the whole Clapton thing, I'll try to keep you posted about it's "origin". And don't worry, I didn't blindly buy the thing cause of the pretty gold badge on top. I got a good price on it, also.

Cheers, Vance

+2 The only difference with these amps is the speaker and cosmetics. The circuit is still a stock DeVille.

I agree with bluesky636, the badge is a total scam.

So, this isn't a special "Ford Edition" of the TOV? :(
