I certainly wouldn't do it. but that is one way to do it. Also if someone likes what they have and mods it so that others don't like it, but he still does... who cares? is it that big a deal? Life is to be enjoyed, people should not condescend to each other, it is annoying. Love your brother and enjoy what you make of your life... and most of all.. Relax... nobody scores points on a silly message board... May God be with you.. and please..do yourself a favor.. Learn to type without a snotty tone... People will appreciate you in the amount that you truly deserve....

the reason people are commenting is that far too often, new people on this board get bad advice on mods to perfectly good amps. Pointing out alternatives that can be cheaper/better are a good thing. If people don't want to hear them, fine, but in many cases people have been brought to their senses because the person that originally gave them advice didn't know what the heck they were talking about. These forums benefit from experienced guys (hope to get there one day) who can give advice or suggestions on what's a bad idea -- many times because we've done it or seen it and realized the folly.

For the OP, if he wants to really take the time to chop an already small amp into a smaller head, fine. It's certainly not what I would do. If he's looking to use it with external cabs, we've given some options. I for one wouldn't want to wreck a good amp and lose all value if I ever wanted to sell it.
