What kind of speaker hookup do you use in your combo amp... wire gauge... connectors, etc.

Something like this in combo amps:

18 gauge wire is usually big enough, especially for short lengths, but 16 gauge would be preferable. 14 gauge lamp cord is great for speaker connections in a cab, or even to make a speaker cable, just attach your own ends. Speaker cables usually come in either 12, 14, or 16 gauge.

14 gauge with a nice thick rubber jacket. Takes a beating & like shimmilou said about a good lamp cord, they can be made up in any length.

The lower the gauge number, the bigger the wire.

Speaking of shotguns, has anyone got the shotgun shell knobs from mojotone for their guitar? I imagine they would look great on a metal axe but I can't envision them on my archtops. They look pretty cool anyway.

The knobs sound cool, but I think that this would be even cooler: 8)

That is cool.
No doubt Nugent's got a few of his archtops outfitted with those shells!

I love the Colt/Armalite "backline".
