A friend just gave me a brand new Weber Ferromax 12 inch speaker and I am wondering if it is any better than the stock Jensen in a Deluxe Reverb Reissue. Anyone got any experience with these webers?

Install it and let your ears decide......they're the ultimate judge after all.

Like Arjay said, it depends on the tone you seek. I've put both ceramic (Ferromax) Webers and Alnico Vintage Webers into those re-issues. And I like the Alnico (ie: 12A125A) better for this amp. If you seek a warmer Bluesier tone.

Just my 2¢ worth...

Weber's 12A125A is a great speaker. The next best thing to a vintage Jensen P12Q or P12R.
