Hey guys,
I'm wondering, can I run my vibro champ xd through a set of speakers (4.1 ohm in //) with the line-out? Is this any different than running it through a cab?
Thank you!

Hi a.ben.e,

The "Line Out" is to hook up to another amp's input, or to a PA. The Line Out uses the VCXD preamp section for an output, but it is not for speakers. To use an external speaker cab with the VCXD, unplug the internal speaker from the amp's speaker jack, and plug the external cab into the jack. I think that you have only one speaker jack, you can use either the internal speaker or the external speaker. Turn off the amp before switching speaker cables.

+1

Your external cab should measure 4Ω for optimum performance. A 2 x 12 enclosure loaded with parallel-wired 8Ω speakers would be perfect and really let the amp "breathe".

Thanks shimmilou and retroverbial.
BTW, on a previous amp with a headphone out, i used a double male wire and ran it through a woofer with amp integrated, and it worked great. Could this work with the line out? (is the woofer considered a PA?)

As long as the woofer is powered (has it's own amp), sure. The line out can connect to a powered woofer, PA, another amp, etc.
