Today, my amp made a king of "pop" noise and I found that V1 was the root-cause.
I changed with a SPAX7A mesa and changed again for a JJ ECC83 both gave me a great sound but this is another story (I tray again the original GT after to make sure).
I had a look on the GT (the failed one) and I noted that the GT reference is 12ax7a up to now that's normal but it's a Sovtek and it is written 12ax7 WO !
The GT is not the GT red label but a kind of printed yellow GT label.
Do you know this reference ? (Usually WA or B but i's not a A)

It maybe a Sovtek 12AX7WB. Where the "B" got smudged a bit?

Thanks BM but it's definitely not a B.
It's may a C because the printed GT yellow label is almost in a middle of the O.

Sounds more plausible. I know a few that would liked to have called some Sovtek 12AX7 = 12AX7 BO. But, that's another story.

Surely it is a WC, not an WO. I can't find a WO anywhere for sale.

I've investigated, you're right Shimmilou, it sounds like a C since the "O" is covered by the printed GT label. By transparency I don't see the rest of the O.
C is a more headroom valve but I'm not sure that it's still exist. 8)

Yes, they still exist. GT uses them, and I use them in a couple of amps (killer in the BJr). They are a bit more gain than the WA. I don't see the WB very much at all.
