Hi all,
Can anyone help, I have a Fender Roc Pro 700, when I switch from the clean channel to the valve channel I get a lot of noise (a really loud hissing sound) sometimes it sounds like interference. I use the drive on the amp but the noise is still there when I use the valve channel as clean. I play a fender Jaguar HH through a Boss GX700 and when I plug everything into another amp there is no noise. Has anyone come across this before?
Many thanks for your advise
Tom

The Rock Pros were hybrid designs, using a 12AX7 tube in the pre-amp. It's possible that yours is getting tired due to an aging tube.

Find an amp tech in or near your town and take it in for a look-see.
Go to the highest end music shop that you can find in or near your town and ask where the pros are taking their amps these days. Music store in-house service shops are usually a hit and miss deal. Some are OK but most are less than stellar. Find yourself a pro, expect to wait to get it in and expect to pay some money to get the job done right.
