I also just picked up a Deluxe 112 plus to run underneath my crazy modded Champ 12 (I needed a little more juice without going overboard with a stack I really had no interest in hauling around!). First off I had the same problem with the speaker. Simple solution: Re-cone and Foam it. You can do this yourself with a little handyman in ya. Also a very inexpensive buy from Ebay. Solved everything. I also replaced the input jacks to Metal jacks, the same thing I did to the Champ 12, (I think switchcraft input jacks), no more scratchy noises, no pops, and it also cleaned up the sound a ton. I also found an almost brand new Fender Blue Label OEM speaker on Ebay for next to nothing, just had to wait FOREVER. I'm really impressed with this combo amp, especially as I'm using it as a controllable cabinet. For some reason these late 80's early 90's amps tube or combo are extremely good. Rivera I guess. :D Fender has made some progress in their amp department, but these older amps still sound better to me. Maybe I've lost it, but the new Blues JR I got in November, I ended up giving to my business partner for Christmas. The Champ 12 blew it away....

The Deluxe 112 was one of a number of amps in the original "Dyna-Touch" line up. IIRC they were the brainchild of Robby Flieger and company (Rivera had previously departed sometime prior to their release). I had the Stage 100 DSP and for a solid-state platform, it wasn't bad at all. Loud, portable, and with a full set of usable effects. Initially, most of these amps were Eminence-equipped (ie: Fender "Special Design") but later editions like mine came with Celestion G12-100T's.

I like the Texas Heats. I put two 8ohm ones in a Frontman 212 and two 16ohm ones in a 2x12Frontman ext. cab.

Shipping a Weber across the pond to the UK (and paying the exhorbitant duties and tariffs) will likely double the speaker's price to the point at which it exceeds the value of the gentleman's amp.

I had cause to buy a weber direct from their depot very recently for my Fender 5E3 kit clone and i was surprised how affordable it was, think import tax was only about £ 20 odd quid with a bit for shipping, my previously fitted Jensen p12r is now on flea bay so ill recoup a bit from that as well.

Just a thought.
