Over the last couple of days I was able to put about four hours of playing in on the PJ. The amp is fairly quiet but does have some tube rattle. The rattle is only noticeable at low volume.
It took some time but I learned how to get the tone I like. I tried a boss eq, tube screamer and a blues driver. I fussed with them one at a time and in combos and wasn't quite happy with them. Then I had an idea that someone already posted here. Just plug into the amp and turn it up. Wow what a sweet sound. The chords and my leads came to life. Now I really like this amp. By the way the pj gives a seminar on using the volume and tone controls on the guitar. Now I have a very simple setup.

Cool! Yeah, it's my "grab and go" amp. Either 'as is' or mic'd it sounds great!

Flbluesman the only pedal I have on mine is a BOSS RV5 reverb. My Pro jr version of the BJ jr. I like my tone better with the Pro jr. The reverb adds some depth to the tone. Cowabunga........... or Buzinga.......... for you newer guys.

I use a BBE Sonic Maximizer 382i sometimes with only one Pro Jr and what a difference that makes - - it's like the amp's on steroids, in a good way.

Possibly the best value in a Fender tube amp.
