Thanks,
It really is a sweet amp. I set my casino coupe up in open g last week and with the pro jr around 5.5 and the casino vol around 6 i can get some tasty tones channeling my inner keef lol i know i need a tele but sounds awesome. It's just so touch sensitive, I'm in love with the dynamics I can get beautiful bell tones out of it and then hit it for some real grit.
And all dressed up in the grey tweed she's one sexy little box.

Treat it well.

Thanks guys! I also like using them (tricked out) to power
other cabinets.

I have a Pro Jr MIM one. Never could figure out what year it is. Read other forums and googled but never could find the numbers they were referring to.

Anyway, I did all the mods (separate the wires, twist them together, shorten the top middle screw) and the amp is quiet now. I replaced the stock tubes with JJs and the speaker with a Jensen P10R.

I love the amp for its simplicity, but I'm curious how this compares to the new Bassbreaker since the tubes are the same. Beside the modern upgrades how different is the circuitry?

Right on! I'm glad you were able to tone down any bad sounds in your circuit. I have an original tweed one from 1994, I got it new in the box. They have almost doubled in price since I got mine. Mine is a thumper with a very clean circuit. Made in Brea, California before they moved production to Corona and Mexico. These are bad $@! amps.

At last night's jam, I used a Digitech Tube Driver (Bad Monkey) and with the single Pro Jr.
it really made this amp scream but also added more headroom by using the mixer output
instead of the guitar output of the pedal into the Pro Jr.

I'm the new proud owner of a PJ but, I'm having issues with mine. For some reason when I try to run it through a 212 cab it barely passes any volume.
The cab is rated for 8ohms, i tried through two different cabs. I tried different cables & same result. I checked the cabs with a prri and they worked as they should. The Princeton has the same wattage & output as the pj. I used one of the cabs before with my blues jr, same wattage\impedance, worked great.
I called Fender tech support & they had never heard of this issue, no idea what it could be.
Next I went to the local Music shop and AB'd my amp with one they had in the shop with just the stock speaker. My amp actually sounded better. Then I plugged it into a 112 cab they had there and no issues.
Why does it only do that with the 212?
I'm going nuts!!!
