^Agreed^ - less of a torture chamber for the tubes.

Would like to see if you're still liking that speaker in
another few months of use.

It's still a torture chamber due to the small size of the cabinet.

Nice!

I recently tried a new JJ EL84-4 in one. Less headroom and distorted at 25% lower volume. Nice with a Strat if that's your thing, but I didn't care for it.

How about It just got it shipped to my house today.

I spent time playing the amp today and I did not feel the need to take pictures or have the time.

Give me some time I should get it done shortly.

Hi FenderMotsesim, and welcome to the forum.

The "best" combination is the one that sounds best to you. With the plethora of types and brands of tubes available, the possibilities are near endless. Personally, I wouldn't use any lower gain tubes in a PJr, but if you must, V2 (PI) would be the place for a 12AT7, or even a Sovtek 12AX7 LPS.....or a 5751....or.... :o

Start collecting tube types/brands, and have fun rolling tubes until you find that magical combination that is "best" for you.
