So when I turn up the reverb knob on the amp there is a ton of noise that goes on..The Reverb works but the noise is really a bummer..I have even bought a new Accutronics Reverb and that hasnt helped with the noise.

Any ideas what the cause is and if there is any treatment for this?

Thanks!

It's possible your problem is merely a resistor or coupling cap on the PCB but the Stage 112 (and all of its numerous variants) uses several cascaded CMOS chips for the various effects. There are two of these op-amps for the reverb circuit (one for the driver, one for recovery). If either one has gone "tango uniform" it may be difficult-to-impossible to replace since these components haven't be manufactured in close to a decade now.

FWIW, I own a similar amp and I feel your pain. Thankfully, mine is fine thus far (crossed fingers, knock on wood, rub rabbit's foot) but I know at any moment it could bite the dust without warning. At which point I will stick a fork in the amp since it'll be done.

Best of luck, HTH

BA4560 is a dual opamp that can be replaced by TL072 or NE5532. 8)

Do you check your 2 wires ( RCA plug) from the amp to reveb pan ?

Also clean your RCA output/input sockets on your amp

Wow..ok that is some awesome information to go on..thanks everyone...The noise is a bit of a constant buzzing sound that gets louder as I turn up the Reverb knob...I will try cleaning the RCA and see how that goes...

Good luck, I have one of those amps that works well for
low volume keys/synth recording. Heavy puppy for a single 12" too!
