Hi everybody, I'm new on this forum. I'm Marco and I'm a fender strato owner since 1997. I really love the sound of my guitar and i'd like to improve it with a new amplifier. I'm searching for gilmour-like sounds, those of the dark side of the moon-wall-animals era but i don't need a very loud amp cause i'm going to use it mainly at home and in little gigs. I thought about a deluxe reverb '65 reissue, a vibrolux reverb or a bassman reissue(maybe this one is too loud for me).
Thank you very much for any suggestion!!

I know the amps he was using but i don't want to completely emulate him. I just need a good combo with a great clean sound and I really like the fender clean sound. I like the simplicity of the bassman reissue but i'd like other suggestions. thanks

Don't know your budget but for Fender-y cleans I like the DRRI, and I really like the Super Sonic. A lot.

Well, then go play one. You won't know anything until you do.

+1 for the Super-Sonic. I am a Floyd freak myself and you get much more authentic floyd tone from the Super-Sonic than you'll get from a Bassman re-issue (great amp by the way). First of all, if you have a delay pedal and/or uni-vibe for authentic FLoyd tone, having an effect loop is a must. Those efftec sound so much better thru the effect loop, The Bassman lacks reverb and in my opinion, you need a blackface-type of tone for Floyd, something that you'll ge tin a Deluxe reverb, but it does't stay clean enough. The only down side to the Super-Sonic is that beng a stage amp, it is kind of loud for home use if that is your plan. The Vibrolux really shines with a Strat and volume above 2.

The twin amp from the pro series would be another great choice.

Hiwatt amps are what he has always used... but his signiture model is a 100w full stack... apparently that would be too lound. mabey a cheaper model from musiciansfriend?

hiwatt amps for me have prohibitive costs. I prefer fender amps: top quality and cheap price.

Hiwatts are the ones that he uses, but they are extreamly expensive. Try to mess around with a good small tube amp on the tone and gain. I did this and got a pretty authentic sound.

Fender amps have good clean, but not many of them can get really loud to the point where he gets his signiture sound. i support the supersonic post. they have great cleans and good gain, but they are very simplisitc...
