Whenever I try to play through the amp, an extremely loud static buzzing noise occurs.

You can barely hear the guitar being played over this loud noise.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I believe it's a model from around the mid 90s.

Hi interpol94,

It could be many things. It could be a bad ground for the electrical outlet, it could be a bad instrument cable, it could be a bad ground in the guitar, etc. Do you have the noise with nothing plugged into the input of the amp?

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
