Hello !

Just brought home a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI.
Sweeeeet amp !

For home use or small clubs, I'm going to buy a OD-pedal and just want to ask you what you would suggest. I'm going to play Blues with it. For Bluesrock or more I have my Orange...;)

Cheers
Markus

Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9 or TS-808...either one will do....but they work better when the amp is about to OD itself, and keep them on clean settings and then kick it on for a boost.

Thank you all so far !

What about the Fullton OCD or a Suhr Shiba Drive.
I can get both pedals for a decent price !

I picked up a very inexpensive OD - Danelectro cool cat drive
Lots of talk comparing it to the Fulltone OCD as its clone.

I also have a ZVEX Distortron which has a Boost function much like it's older brother and more expensive, Box of Rock.

I use a Fulltone OCD with the 18VDC power supply through my modded DRRI. I'm very pleased with the tone.

All of them (I have fourteen -- 9 Strats, 5 Les Pauls).

I set the controls to the "12 o'clock" position and set the switch to "HP".

Both volumes on "6" (I access both channels via an A/B/Y footswitch). I run the "normal" channel with a bit more bass (for use with Strats) and the "vibrato" channel with slightly hotter treble (for humbucker-equipped LP's). Saves "diddling time" while on-stage whenever I switch guitars. The amp's been altered with the "Fritz mod" which makes the reverb and trem available on both channels and puts the channels "in phase" with one another. The A/B/Y unit also lets me select either channel or both "on the fly" for some interesting effects. The amp also has a couple of other useful additions......

You're welcome, Marcus.

These pics show the most visible mod I made to the amp......

Another pedal that works great with my DRRI is the BB Preamp. I'm not using my TS9 much these days, getting some great tone with the BB!

I need to try the OCD one of these days, keeping hearing good things about it... I don't like a lot of overdrive, so hope it can be dialed back like the BB.

After reading the reviews I would like to try the Visual Sounds Open Road OD pedal.

Supposedly adds no color and very quiet.

Anyone try one yet ?

My cmatmods signadrive was all that and more, Just wish i had kept it :|
