Not a chance. Single coils are noisy. I have 4 different tube amps and one solid state amp that have helped me to determine this. Sorry Mike, not my amps fault.

Well, of course, no doubt about that. I maybe misunderstood your posting
about the amp's noise.

I can control the single coil noise to my liking, I suppose.
