Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this problem with their blues Jr. amp. For some reason I'm getting this warbling effect on the amp. It sounds like I'm playing it inside a garbage can, with a weird echo effect like someone pumping up and down on a wah pedal. It's more noticable on the fat setting while it's being driven, and more noticeable towards the bass notes than the treble notes...and less noticeable on the more treble notes. I've unplugged all my effects and the reverb is set all the way down. I don't know if this is something I just haven't noticed before, or if I'm starting to experience a technical problem. Thank you for any information you can give me and i appreciate you taking the time to read my question.

Mike

How stable is the power at your house and what voltage are you actually getting? If you're someplace where the power demand is high, you could be running as low as 100 volts or less which might cause some issues. I'd also check to make sure all the tubes are still seated properly in their sockets. Beyond that, a trip to the repair shop might be a good idea unless you're pretty good with electronics. Mine has a little tremelo effect but nothing really that bad.

Well, I feel better that it seems that your amp also has a little tremelo effect. I'll ask my dad about the electricity but I don't think I'd have a real answer. Maybe I'll call my electronics guy and let him look at it. I need to have him finish fixing an Ampeg V-4 head I have but then that would leave me with no amp  Thanks a lot for the response. I really appreciate it. :)
