I've had an Acoustasonic Junior for a few months now. Still learning though when it comes to tech stuff. If someone could please explain to me what the "ground lift" button does. And please ..something other than the description that the manual allready states, which is pretty minimal. Should It be pressed in or out. I play accompinament at my local church feeding the signal through th XLR output jack. Thanks

Hi torontonian

The XLR output (balanced output) shield is normally connected to ground in the amp, but with the "ground lift" switch engaged the shield will be disconnected from ground in the amp (lifted). The switch is used in cases where the ground connection of the XLR output causes a ground loop with the connected equipment (such as a PA) resulting in noise.

Thanks for the quick reply..If you or anyone else is familiar with the Fender Acoustasonic Junior. I would like to know if the button should be pressed in or out. Which position lifts the ground. The documentation does not state that..I have not had any issues w/ line noise............yet....hopefully I wont.

If you have no noise problem, it is preferable to leave the shield grounded, which would be the button out (I believe). You can verify if pin one of the XLR out is grounded to the chassis with an ohmmeter, with nothing plugged in to the XLR.
