Hi!

I bought a Super-Sonic 22 this fall and like almost everybody else I've had some problems with it. Left it to fender and they changed tubes, rewired it etc. and now it works fine. I would like some more "umpf" though if you now what I mean. Some more bottom end, so I was thinking of getting a speaker cabinet to compliment my amp. How big of a cabinet can this amp power? Is their any idea getting a cab?

Thanks!/Jacob

Super Sonic 60 is able to drive internal and external speakers the minimun load is 4 Ohms and max 16 Ohms. There are 212 or 412 available on Fender website but for the "22" I don't know if a jack for external speakers is available !

What is written in your amp booklet in term of external speaker impedance ? 8)

As far as I don't find back the schematic (a fellow member send it a couple of month ago) I don't know exactly what you can do. However, the principle is to match the impedance of the speakers with the impedance recommanded of the amp. By serial or // there are a lot of possibilities with Fender enclosure or Marshall or whatever, the only thing is to have the speaker power greater than the amp.
May be you can also ask to your dealer. 8)

I'm using the 60 watt head with the 4x12 cab. Awesome for Blues & Classic rock. Love those Vintage 30 speakers & 4 12's are sweet.
