Hey there friends.

I'm having a hard time finding a way to fit my footswitch (Hotrod Deville) on my pedal board. The jack being on the right side is driving me nuts!
I have heard that the 2010 HRD's have a new "pedal board friendly" switch. Anyone have info on that?

Also, has anyone ever used a marshall style switch, or hand built one?

Thanks :D :D :D

The footswitch of a HDdv is not only switches, see http://support.fender.com/schematics/gu ... ematic.pdf

It could be probably not compatible with others equipments. 8)

find supro63 on here. send him a PM. hes known to build a few pedals and he might be able to tell you if it can be done or not.

I rehosted the footswitch from my Blues Deluxe Reissue. It appears to be the same size as yours. I bought this box from my local Radio Shack:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2062281

I disassembled the stock Fender footswitch, and drilled the appropriate holes in the Radio Shack box. I mounted the face plate to the top of the box lid and mounted the jack along the long top side. It now looks like this. Not perfect, but fits great on my pedal board.

Thanks. I like things simple. The board is a bamboo cutting board I picked up at the local import store. Some velcro, metal handles, and rubber feet equals instant pedalboard. :D

Not too wise to OD on them if you're watching your LDL's either.

Guys, don't use plastic Radio Shack boxes for footswitches. I usually go here for enclosures.
And sure you can usually always trasnfer stuff from one enclosure to another. You may have to get new jacks if the existing ones are board mounted. Still isn't hard to do. Be sure to use something good like Switchcraft jacks.

Small Bear Electronics has lots of different enclosures bot blank and pre-drilled.

For rehousing a simple footswitch, I find the Radio Shack box works just fine for my purposes. The OP is free to use any type box he chooses.

Good god, I'm only making a suggestion. :| For footswitches, it's a better, studier solution especially if you gig. I use plastic boxes all the time. Just not for footswitches. For 3 bucks more than a Shack box it's cheap insurance.
